Job Title: First Assist Surgical Technologist Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Virginia License required Certifications: Required certifications must be current Must-Have: Robotic experience Orthopedic experience Neuro/spine experience Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 16 Operating Rooms: Multiple available Number of Staff: 1 team of RN, SA, and surgical tech per operating room for day shift Call required on weekends and nights Day Shift: 16 RNs, 16 SAs, and 16 surgical techs Evening Shift: Team structure tapers from 3-5 to 2-1 teams Night Shift: Call only Patient Ratios: 1-1 Type of Equipment: Robotics, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastics, urology, and orthopedic equipment EMR used: Meditech Typical hiring profile: Best personality fit: Team player Typical procedures performed: All except transplant and cardiac surgery Floating Areas: None Dress Code: Scrub color/attire provided by the facility Weekends and On Call: Average of 2 call shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekends General Comments: One position available
