Team: Product, Artemis Due to the nature of our work, only U.S. Citizens will be considered. Rhombus Power is seeking a mid‑level Product (Marketing) Manager to help shape the direction of Artemis, our information environment analysis platform, and to bring practitioner‑level national security expertise to bear across three core functions: product strategy, senior customer engagement, and competitive positioning. This role sits at the intersection of end‑user expertise, product direction, and go‑to‑market. You will translate real operational needs into product priorities, represent Artemis credibly to senior government and defense audiences, and build the market understanding that sharpens how Artemis is positioned and where it invests next. The ideal candidate is a former U.S. Government practitioner — State, the IC, or DoD — with hands‑on experience in data‑informed strategic communications and analysis of the information environment, including work countering influence operations and adversarial influence. You bring a manager‑level command of how strategic communications and information‑environment professionals actually work, the ability to carry high‑stakes customer engagements independently, and the judgment to channel that expertise into a sharp, mission‑relevant product. If you've already made the move from government into a product or customer‑facing role at a technology company and done this kind of work in industry, even better. You will work closely with the Artemis product, engineering, marketing/sales, and executive teams. Key Responsibilities Bring practitioner‑level expertise to Artemis's product direction, translating real end‑user workflows and mission needs into concrete product priorities and requirements. Bring the voice of the customer and pressure‑test features, analytic outputs, and workflows against how strategic communications and intelligence professionals actually work. Partner with the product owner to shape and prioritize the Artemis roadmap, contributing domain judgment on where the platform should invest to maximize mission relevance and analytic value. Collaborate with the engineering team to ground product decisions in operational reality. Strategic & Customer‑Facing Engagement: Lead senior, customer‑facing engagements — demonstrations, briefings, and working sessions — with government and defense customers, representing Artemis with credibility and authority. Serve as a trusted interlocutor for senior national security customers. Elicit and synthesize customer needs into structured input for the product roadmap. Support capture, proposals, and pursuit activities with domain expertise and customer insight. Positioning & Market Insight: Sharpen how Artemis is positioned and differentiated, informed by a clear understanding of the landscape it operates in. Translate market and customer insight into positioning, messaging, and differentiation, and feed those findings back into product direction. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: This role works closely across the Artemis product, engineering, marketing/sales, and executive teams. In particular, you will: Partner closely with the team leading product development, data strategy, and operations. Contribute domain expertise to briefings, collateral, and thought‑leadership materials that establish Artemis's credibility in the market. Support the product owner and work with the engineering team in synthesizing engagement‑driven and delivery‑driven inputs into a coherent product roadmap. Qualifications Required: 5–10 years of professional experience in strategic communications, information‑environment analysis, information operations, or closely related national security work, within State, the IC, DoD, or a comparable setting — ideally including data‑informed strategic communications and work countering disinformation or adversarial influence. Manager‑level command of how strategic communications and information‑environment professionals analyze and act in the information environment. Demonstrated ability to lead senior, customer‑facing engagements and briefings with government or defense audiences. Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate operational needs into clear product, positioning, and business inputs. Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion in senior and customer‑facing settings. Preferred: Prior experience translating government or defense expertise into a commercial or product setting — for example, having moved from a USG strategic‑communications or information‑environment role into product, business development, or customer‑facing work at a technology company. Candidates who have already made this transition and done this kind of work in industry are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in a data‑informed strategic communications, public diplomacy, or counter‑disinformation function. Experience shaping or evaluating software tools, intelligence platforms, or analytic capabilities as an end user or requirements owner. Experience with competitive analysis, product marketing, or business development in a national security technology context. Familiarity with SaaS, enterprise software, data analytics, or intelligence platforms. Active or recent Top Secret security clearance. Characteristics of Success Deep credibility with national security end users, earned through practitioner experience. Ability to translate between operational reality and product development. Strong ownership mentality, bias to action, readiness to fail fast and iterate forward, and comfort operating independently across product, engagement, and positioning work. Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and tackling new challenges. Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion when supporting senior leadership and strategic initiatives. Salary Range The estimated base salary range for this position is $140,000/year to $180,000/year.
