*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior Fleet Diagnostic Technician specializing in advanced gas and diesel engines. *Responsibilities*

* Perform comprehensive diagnostics on advanced gas and diesel engines using sophisticated schematics, diagnostic tools, and electronic testing equipment.
* Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial machinery.
* Troubleshoot complex systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical components to identify root causes efficiently.
* Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
* Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs adhering to safety standards.
* Perform routine vehicle maintenance including tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and HVAC servicing.
* Lead heavy lifting operations safely while maintaining compliance with safety protocols; assist in assembly and equipment repair projects.
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

*Qualifications*

* Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of professional diagnostic experience in a commercial fleet or heavy-duty dealership environment.
* System Expertise: Documented mastery of both light/medium-duty gas engine management and heavy-duty diesel platforms.
* Tool Ownership: Possession of a complete, professional inventory of hand tools, air tools, and high-tier diagnostic meters up to 1-inch drive. Other larger tools and equipment is provided by the shop.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean record (Class A or B CDL highly preferred or willing to obtain).
* Current ASE Certifications (Advanced Engine Performance L2, Medium/Heavy Truck T2, T6, and T8 preferred). (1)
* Technical Literacy: Superior capability to read, understand, and apply technical service bulletins (TSBs), wiring diagrams, and flowcharts.
* Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
* Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and air brake systems.
* Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, cutting with power tools, and assembling complex machinery parts.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively for troubleshooting electrical or hydraulic issues.
* Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers or similar industrial equipment.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software applications, and maintenance procedures for farm machinery or industrial equipment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of performing heavy lifting safely.
