JOB SUMMARY As a CNC programmer you will write CNC programs and necessary documents, or modify existing programs, that help to set up machines. You will also decide the sequence in which the machine, tools and operation, will be carried out. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Must be very adept with the usage of various software like Master-Cam Write CNC programs, and necessary documents or modify existing programs in Master-Cam that help in the setup of the machines Reviews three-dimensional cad blueprints, then translates them in CAD Document all programs with instructions and in-process drawings with high degree of accuracy so operators can understand with ease, instructions on how to run the programs Estimate production times and related cost information Must be detail oriented, able to work independently as a problem solver Work with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes Able to create 3D models from sketches or blueprints Able to read G codes GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education: Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of programming experience Skills: Preferred Skills/Experience: Other: Extended or irregular hours may be required.
