We’re Looking For A(n): Media Buying Specialist, Meta & Direct Buy

Location: Remote

What You’ll Be Doing: This role is designed for a media buyer ready to own performance marketing across multiple networks: Meta and direct buy ad networks. You’ll manage day-to-day budgets and testing on Meta Ads Manager while also building and scaling relationships with direct buy ad network partners such as Newsbreak, Next Door, and Quora etc. Your ability to move fluidly between platform-based paid social buying and hands-on network partner management will help diversify our acquisition mix and uncover new profitable revenue streams.

• Set up, monitor, and optimize Meta ad campaigns, owning budgets and offers as assigned.
• Identify, test, and scale direct buy ad network partnerships (e.g., Newsbreak, Next Door, Quora, CPA Email, Email Remarketing)
• Build and nurture relationships with key contacts at direct buy ad network partners to negotiate favorable terms and unlock new placements.
• Develop and test ad creative across both Meta and direct buy networks to maximize revenue and ROI.
• Analyze performance data across both channels (spend, ROI, ROAS, CAC, CPA) and prepare regular reporting with clear, actionable insights.
• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting infrastructure, including pixel/S2S tracking, ad network macros, and fraud monitoring, to work around platform tracking limitations.
• Collaborate with Creative, Analytics, and Affiliate/Partnerships teams to brainstorm, launch, and iterate on new campaign concepts.
• Contribute to improving team workflows and campaign launch processes across both Meta and direct buy, providing feedback and supporting implementation of updates.
• Stay current on Meta platform changes, emerging direct buy network opportunities, paid media best practices, and competitor activity.

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

• Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and campaign setup.
• Comprehensive understanding of media buying principles across both platform-based and direct-to-network buying.
• Experience navigating ad network interfaces and building partner relationships.
• Solid understanding of pixels, S2S tracking, and attribution to work within tracking limitations.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with spreadsheets and reporting; data-oriented with the ability to self-serve insights.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple channels and partners simultaneously.
• Clear communicator, relationship-builder, and proactive team player.
• Can adapt in a fast-paced digital environment.
• Required Education:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• Required Experience:1-2 years

The base salary range is $75,000-$90,000, plus bonus potential.

The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote.
