Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Miami, FL. Key Details Hourly Pay: $18.97 per hour Schedule: First Shift Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Benefits Paid training and support Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) benefits starting 30 days Paid time off 401(k) company match Employee stock at 15% discount Discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, cell phones, travel, and more Safety gear provided Safety‑focused leadership Continuous improvement focus Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred) Valid Forklift Operator license Clean driving record and personal vehicle; travel within the area ~25‑50% of the day Strong technical aptitude (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, entering orders into a WMS system) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and push/pull up to 35 lbs Ability to work indoors and outdoors Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; cross‑functional collaboration Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices Initiative, accuracy under pressure, punctuality, good attendance record Standing for long periods and use of health and safety methods Available for a flexible schedule across various work shifts Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting Maintain performance measurement guidelines of the contract Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading of trucks Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.) Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours of production Other duties as assigned Additional Information Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and background checks as required by the customer.
