Assistant Nurse Manager - After Hours Answer Line Exchange

Location Hybrid: combination of remote and in‑person. All staff work remotely with office space at BJC @ The Commons, 5th Floor. ANM will work most shifts from home but is expected on campus for leadership meetings and onboarding. Must live within 1 hour of BJC @ The Commons (4249 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110). Responsibilities Manages individuals: hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans, ensures productivity meets operational goals. Participates in departmental staffing, revenue and expense budgeting, adheres to goals, and responds to business changes. Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions and documents per policy. Creates and implements collaborative plans of care based on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Supports staff hours review, determines adjustments, performs payroll approvals, reconciles time cards, tracks bonuses, codes, prepares communications, huddle agendas, leads meetings, determines staffing needs, assigns overtime. Recommends effective annual increases, interviews staff for open positions, evaluates performance, drafts corrective actions, follows up on disciplinary actions. Responsible for staff productivity and overall operational goals; conducts performance evaluations and recommends improvements when needed. Preferred Qualifications Prior leadership experience (2‑5 years preferred). Internal candidates without prior leadership will still be considered. Helpful, but not required, nursing experience: triage, pediatric office, call center. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Technologically savvy. Organized, dependable, flexible. Team‑player. Resourceful. Self‑motivated. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 2‑5 years preferred; 5‑10 years required for preferred qualifications. Supervisor Experience: None required for minimum; Licenses & Certifications: RN.
