CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistTrillium Staffing is now seeking CNC Machinists for direct-hire in Stoughton, MA!Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC lathes, CNC mills, and related precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.Starting pay is determined based on experience, skill level, certifications, and overall qualifications, $34-40/hour. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable state and federal law.We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include: health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off and paid holidays; life and disability insurance; training and career development opportunities.Essential duties and responsibilities include: setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC lathes, milling machines, and related machining equipment; interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions; selecting and installing tooling, fixtures, and offsets for optimal machining performance; programming or editing CNC programs at the machine (G-code or conversational programming) as required; performing first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, etc.); maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements within specified tolerances; troubleshooting machining issues and making necessary process adjustments; conducting routine preventive maintenance and maintaining a clean and organized workspace; documenting production data and inspection results accurately; following all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations; collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes and reduce scrap; meeting daily production and quality targets.Qualifications required include: high school diploma or GED; 3+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill); ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools; knowledge of machining metals such as steel, aluminum, stainless, and alloys; strong math and problem-solving skills; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Preferred: vocational/technical machining certificate or apprenticeship; experience with multi-axis CNC machines; familiarity with CAD/CAM software; lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience; forklift or overhead crane experience.Work environment: manufacturing/production floor environment; exposure to machine oils, coolants, and metal chips; PPE required to be worn (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.); overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet business needs.Trillium Technical has been recruiting and placing engineering professionals for over 30 years.
