Orthodontic AssistantOur GROWING Orthodontic office is looking for a new team member!We are a fast-paced, patient-focused, high-tech Orthodontic office in search of a candidate with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic. Someone who is both professional and able to multitask as an Orthodontic Assistant. Must be energetic, enthusiastic and a self-motivated team player with great communication and people skills that is interested in making a difference in patient's lives.Experience and certification is a plus but not required.Pay Range: $18-$22 per hourBenefits: Full time hours Monday thru Thursday admin hrs. on Fridays, health care coverage, paid holidays, and paid vacation. 401K, uniform allowance, amazing opportunity for bonuses, and more.Summary of Position:The Orthodontic Assistant is a pivotal role to Paciorek Orthodontics and serves as the primary supporting person to our doctor team. This role will assist with various activities in working with the doctors and patients alike and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and professional addition to the team.Essential Job Function:Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patientsEducate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practicesWork chairside with patient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliancesTaking X-Rays, pictures, fabricating retainersMaintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor notes accuratelyKeep patient rooms stocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipmentBe receptive to coaching and training from doctors to better develop skillsetOther duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Orthodontics and associated treatment appliances and equipment usedAction-oriented and taking initiative, being adaptive and flexible in a changing environmentUnderstand and can effectively communicate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic fieldHave excellent written and oral communication skillsCompassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staffIntegrity, always doing the right thingAbility to handle confidential information and protect patient confidentialityDependable, reliable to be at work when scheduledAttention to detailAble to stay organized and follow instructionProfessional manner and appearance at all timesComputer skills: Microsoft office and Web BrowserEducation and Experience:High School Diploma, GED or equivalent1-3 Years Relative Experience Preferred
