A leading community healthcare provider specializing in HIV/AIDS patient care is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join their team on a per diem basis. This position offers a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity with the goal of transitioning into a Pharmacy-in-Charge (PIC) role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail or specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy, supervisory experience, and a passion for delivering empathetic, high-quality care to a sensitive patient population.

Location: Miami Gardens, FL
Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions with a focus on HIV/AIDS medications, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Build trust and maintain respectful, non-judgmental relationships with patients living with HIV/AIDS
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and team members to coordinate patient care
• Manage high prescription volumes efficiently while maintaining excellent communication
• Demonstrate proactive pharmacy practice by identifying and fulfilling pharmacy needs
• Provide leadership and mentorship to pharmacy staff and technicians
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software proficiently to support daily operations

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy experience explicitly detailed in the resume
• Proven supervisory or management experience preferred; candidates aiming to advance to a managerial role are highly encouraged
• Sensitivity and empathy towards the HIV/AIDS patient community is critical
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Florida pharmacist license
• QS1 pharmacy software experience
