Excavator Operator

Excavator Operator Pay: $35-$42/hr based on experience Travel: Extensive Overnight Travel required Summary: An established underground construction contractor is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to support utility installation and trenchless operations across regional projects. Key Responsibilities: Operate track excavators and related heavy equipment on utility construction sites Perform excavation, material handling, loading/unloading, and rigging Execute deep excavations using trench boxes, shoring systems, and sheeting Maintain safe excavation practices, including protection of personnel and existing utilities Conduct daily equipment inspections and follow all site safety requirements Work closely with field supervision to complete work safely and efficiently Qualifications: 5+ years of excavator or heavy equipment operating experience Ability to read plans and adapt to field conditions Strong safety awareness and team-oriented mindset Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting to 50 lbs.
