Optical Lead (Floridaவர்கள் Licensed Optician preferred) St. Petersburg, FL Annual base pay up to $30 برخ hr (depending on experience and licensure) plus a bonus program. We’re looking for an Optical Lead with managerial experience to support our Seminole location. Current optician license preferred. Theγχ role includes training Eye Care Professionals and supervisory oversight. Responsibilities Optical Lead is responsible for interacting with customers on a daily basis to uncover their lifestyle needs and recommend Island products. The role also includes training Eye Care Professionals and supervisory oversight of the team. Works closely with onsite OD to support staffing needs and facilitate patient workflows. Obtains patient’s prescription from ophthalmologist or optometrist. Gathers patient’s information including vision and medical insurance information. Schedules, confirms, and maintains appointments. Recommends frames, lenses and products suitable for the patient’s style, face, and specifications. Adjusts and fits frames according to the prescription and patient’s specifications. Prepares and submits the order to the proper lab for manufacturing. Uses equipment such as lensometer, auto refractor, pupilometer, calipers, and hand tools. Assists with frame and contact lens inventory, marketing materials, and office supplies. Teaches patients how to wear and care for both contact lenses and eyeglasses. Repairs or replaces broken frames. Performs administrative duties such as filing, following up on orders, answering phones, and assisting the doctorζη special orders and referrals. Multi‑taskes to help patients in a timely manner. Supervisory Responsibility Position reports to Area Manager. Provides supervisory oversight of Eye Care Professional positions. Position/Type/Hours This is a full‑time, 5‑day a week onsite position. Shift may be assigned to cover any weekday (Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Shift will be assigned a minimum of two weeks in advance. Potential for evening hours to support business needs and inventory processes.β Travel The role may be requested to assist in other locations to support supervisory oversight or for coverage. Qualifications Current optician license preferred. Current supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 2years optical experience required. Skills and Abilities Customer service oriented. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem‑solving skills required. Managing multiple patients. Assisting patients in selected the proper eyewear. Teaching patients.
