Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of emergency patients throughout a designated shift, providing triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
• Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and incorporating input from patients and significant others
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across all age groups
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Demonstrate competency in IV sedation and dysrhythmia recognition as required during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must include the charting system used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications
