Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated shift, delivering nursing care based on the nursing process aligned with the medical plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate patient care for individuals across ages, depending on the unit’s scope, including neonatal to geriatric patients when applicable.
• Perform triage, treatment and supportive care for trauma and emergency patients in an acute care ER setting.
• Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care for patients and their families.
• Delegate appropriate elements of patient care to other nursing staff according to current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (current and in good standing).
• Ability to work in a hospital ER setting with diverse patient ages and trauma cases.
• Willingness to work a 3x12 rotating shift schedule.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate with physicians and the care team.
• Eligible for travel assignment and able to meet start date requirements.
