About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as the senior operational leader and second-in-command, with a focus on translating the organization's mission and strategic vision into operational excellence. The COO will be responsible for providing oversight of the organization's financial management, operations, and internal systems, and will champion the values of transparency, integrity, responsiveness, equity, and courage. This role involves serving as a core member of the leadership team, supervising director-level reports, and ensuring strong execution across all departments and programs. The successful candidate will also be tasked with talent and team development, including coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous feedback and collaboration. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5-10 years' of experience in management-level finance and operations, with at least 3 years' in a senior leadership role. Experience in human resources management and grant management is also required. The ideal candidate will have a high level of cultural competency, be proficient in QuickBooks Online, and have a proven track record in nonprofit finance and compliance. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. The COO will be expected to have an entrepreneurial mindset, be adept at conflict resolution, and have the ability to lead a diverse team and manage various stakeholders.
