Registered Nurse - Emergency Care Center - Venice (Nights)

Emergency Care Center Nurse

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy.
Minimum of one (1) year of emergency registered nurse experience.
Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Certifications upon completion of department orientation:

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention

Courses/certifications within one (1) year of completing department orientation:

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Preferred qualifications:

Certification in nursing specialty area.

Required license and certs:

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
