Operations Manager

Our client, a growing Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance agency based in Brooklyn, NY. Who specialize in providing comprehensive insurance solutions to businesses across various industries, helping clients protect their operations, assets, employees, and financial interests, Is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee agency operations, support company growth, and ensure the efficient management of our office and team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the agency, including New Business, Renewals, Account Servicing, Claims, and other key departments.
• Ensure insurance policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, cancellations, and service requests are processed accurately and within established timeframes.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor work across departments to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Resolve operational, client service, carrier, and workflow issues while maintaining compliance with agency procedures and service standards.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of an office with approximately 20 employees, promoting accountability, productivity, and teamwork.
• Oversee office systems, technology, equipment, and general administrative functions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational challenges and collaborate with department leaders to improve communication and workflow efficiency.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Assist with employee performance management, attendance tracking, role development, and day-to-day staff support.
• Partner with company leadership to implement new systems, technology, processes, and operational initiatives.
• Manage special projects from planning through completion while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Operations Management, Office Management, or a similar leadership role required.
• Strong leadership, team management, and employee development skills.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple departments and priorities simultaneously.
• Proven ability to identify problems, take ownership, and implement effective solutions independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with technology, software platforms, and learning new systems.
• Ability to drive accountability and maintain high operational standards across the organization.
• Experience managing projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives.
• Commercial Insurance or Insurance Agency experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required based on experience.

Salary: $150K

Compensation:
$150,000 per year
