Epic Solution Architect (Tapestry) | 6-9+ Years of Experience | Remote (PST Hours) | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking an Epic Solution Architect (Tapestry) with 6-9+ years of experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise healthcare solutions within payer and provider environments. This is a 12-month Contract opportunity.

HOURS/SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (PST Hours Required)

CORE REQUIREMENTS:
• 6-9+ years of hands-on design, build, and architecture experience with Epic applications
• Prior experience working within Epic environments with strong expertise in Epic Tapestry solution design and architecture
• Experience supporting payer/provider applications and managed care operations
• Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing workflows, including eligibility, adjudication, and payment processes
• Experience integrating Epic Tapestry with external systems
• Expertise with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, ANSI transactions, EDI, XML, CSV, and related healthcare messaging formats
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance requirements
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and solution documentation best practices
• Experience utilizing ITIL methodologies and/or ServiceNow processes
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain moderately complex healthcare systems
• Experience collaborating independently with stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused solutions
• Must be able to work PST business hours
• Must be authorized to work on a W2 basis
• Fully remote position

• Current Epic Tapestry Certification
• Experience with Epic integrations and interoperability solutions
• Experience supporting large-scale health plan implementations or transformations
• Experience with enterprise healthcare modernization initiatives
• Knowledge of healthcare data exchange frameworks and API-driven architectures
• Experience supporting complex payer-provider technology ecosystems

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and architect health plan applications from the ground up, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with business and leadership teams to define strategic technology solutions and future-state architectures
• Provide recommendations that influence enterprise technology decisions and healthcare application strategies
• Design and support Epic Tapestry solutions within payer and provider environments
• Develop scalable architectures supporting claims processing, eligibility, adjudication, and payment workflows
• Lead healthcare integration efforts utilizing HL7, FHIR, ANSI transactions, EDI, XML, CSV, and other industry-standard messaging formats
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, solution designs, technical roadmaps, and implementation plans
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality healthcare technology solutions
• Support enterprise architecture governance, standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones to drive successful project outcomes
• Provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and architectural oversight throughout the solution lifecycle
