About the Role
The Company is seeking an Advisory Board Member to join its team. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated group that meets once a month for strategic planning and is actively involved in ensuring the organization's financial stability through fundraising efforts. The role also includes enhancing the public standing of the organization, supporting the Executive Director and staff, and contributing to the development of a competent board. Board members are expected to serve on at least one committee and attend various special events throughout the year. Applicants for the Advisory Board Member position at the company should be prepared to make a significant time commitment and be passionate about the mission of the organization. Responsibilities include participating in the strategic planning process, securing financial resources, and effectively communicating the organization's goals and achievements to the public. The ideal candidate will have experience in board governance, be able to support the Executive Director and staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the board's performance. A strong sense of community and a desire to make a positive impact are essential for this role.
