About the Role:
The Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for leading and overseeing the comprehensive rehabilitation programs within a healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by managing multidisciplinary teams, developing strategic initiatives, and optimizing operational efficiency. The Director will collaborate with clinical staff, administration, and external partners to enhance service offerings and meet regulatory compliance standards. They will also be instrumental in budgeting, resource allocation, and continuous quality improvement to support patient recovery and satisfaction. Ultimately, this position drives the vision and execution of rehabilitation services to improve resident outcomes and organizational success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Rehabilitation, Healthcare Administration, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in rehabilitation services or a similar healthcare setting.
- Current and valid professional licensure or certification relevant to rehabilitation disciplines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in budgeting, staff management, and program development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and data analytics tools.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinical environment within a hospital or large healthcare system.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the rehabilitation services department, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other related disciplines.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance rehabilitation programs and services in alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Oversee budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation to maintain efficient and effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, physicians, and external agencies to coordinate resident care.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for rehabilitation staff.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and performance management of rehabilitation personnel.
- Facilitate communication between departments to support integrated patient care and operational excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in rehabilitation services.
