RN-Cath Lab | Travel | Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide care in an acute setting, focusing on intermediate care with an emphasis on cardiovascular procedures. The RN will work closely with a dynamic team in a high-acuity environment.

Assignment Details

• IMCU - 3S Intermediate Care Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7:30a)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3-4
• Unit beds: 23
• Charge Nurse presence: 24/7
• Weekend rotation based on unit needs
• Holidays rotation schedule: Every other holiday
• Floating required except to ER & OB
• Scrub Color/Dress code: Any color professional scrub
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate care for patients with stroke, cardiac issues, sepsis, and surgical needs
• Manage and interpret telemetry monitoring
• Titrate drips: heparin, nitro, cardizem, levo, cardene, precedex
• Utilize RT equipment such as Cpap, Bipap, and high flow oxygen
• Collaborate with CNAs for patient care

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL RN license or application in process
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• Experience with trach care, Bipap, stroke, IV titration
• Ability to produce a negative drug screen for all panels
