Clinical Laboratory Technician
$26 - $39 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician for its Syracuse, New York facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and maintain quality control standards. The position works nights and rotating weekends with eligibility for shift differential pay.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls; report accurate and timely results
- Perform preventative maintenance, quality control procedures, and maintain safe work environment
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- New York state Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) license
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Experience in high-volume laboratory environment preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Compensation: $26.00-$39.00 per hour plus 15% shift differential
