Location: Fort Worth, TX (777 Main)
Schedule: Hybrid – Minimum 3 days onsite (Tuesday–Thursday)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Through December 2026 with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours/week

Overview

Oncor is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to support the 765kV Engineering Team across both Substation (Station) and Transmission Line engineering activities. This role will focus heavily on project coordination, meeting facilitation, action item tracking, schedule reporting, and leadership communication to support successful execution of large-scale transmission engineering projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesMeeting Coordination & Documentation

• Attend regularly scheduled and ad hoc engineering meetings related to 765kV station and transmission line projects
• Coordinate meeting agendas with engineering leads and project stakeholders
• Capture and distribute detailed meeting notes including decisions, action items, owners, and due dates
• Support engineering coordination meetings, design reviews, and interdisciplinary project discussions

Action Item Tracking & Follow-Up

• Maintain and manage centralized engineering action item logs
• Track deliverables, dependencies, and project follow-ups across engineering teams
• Proactively communicate with responsible parties to ensure timely completion of action items
• Escalate overdue items and potential risks to project leadership

Status Reporting & Leadership Updates

• Prepare recurring engineering status reports and leadership updates
• Consolidate information from station and line engineering teams into coordinated reporting materials
• Track project accomplishments, milestones, risks, and required leadership decisions
• Support preparation of presentations and materials for executive briefings and gate reviews

Schedule Tracking & Reporting

• Support development and maintenance of engineering schedules for transmission and station scopes
• Monitor planned versus actual project progress and identify schedule variances
• Coordinate with engineering leads to validate schedule updates and forecast completion timelines
• Prepare schedule summary reports for leadership review

Qualifications

• Previous experience in project management, project coordination, engineering support, or project controls
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience supporting engineering, utility, infrastructure, transmission, construction, or energy projects preferred
• Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills
• Experience with schedule tracking, reporting, and action item management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting transmission, substation, or utility engineering projects
• Familiarity with engineering project lifecycle processes
• Experience preparing leadership dashboards, reports, or executive-level presentations
• Background working with project management organizations, scheduling teams, or large infrastructure programs

Additional Information

• Hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence at the Fort Worth office a minimum of 3 days per week
• Some flexibility may be required to support project and leadership schedules
• Opportunity for contract extension based on business needs and project timelines
• This role will not perform engineering design work but will support coordination, communication, scheduling, and reporting efforts across engineering teams
