Shipping & Receiving Clerk I

Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a First Shift (7:00AM-3:30PM) Shipping & Receiving Clerk I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk I is responsible for shipping the product to the customer through picking, packing and scanning orders. The broader nature of this role includes responsibilities in material handling, inventory control and assembly; and is expected to guide the team through these processes. HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $19/hr. - $23/hr. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Please visit our career site for more information on benefits. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) What you will do Operate material handling equipment including, but not limited to, lift trucks (sit-down, swing mast, stand-up), pallet riders, pallet jacks (manual & automatic), dock levelers, fork extensions, order pickers, and Turret Stock Pickers (TSP) Ensure that materials are sorted, verified, and brought to appropriate stations or staging areas Move materials/components to multiple areas: floor, pallets, conveyors, and workstations Prepare and transport products ready for shipment from assembly areas to shipping conveyors What we require High school diploma or equivalent Solid math skills 2+ years' experience in a related field Intermediate proficiency in reading, verbal, and written English Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk/sit, to use hands and fingers to handle/feel, to reach with hands and arms, to climb/balance Work at a height of up to 30 feet Lift/move up to 50 pounds Use close, distance, color, peripheral vision; perceive depth and adjust focus with or without correction What we prefer Experience with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, RF scanners, Microsoft Suite Strong time management and organizational skills 2+ years' experience leading small teams 2+ years' operating various Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) What we offer Taking Care of our Employees on Day One with Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance coverage options.
