Accounts Payable Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant for a well-established organization in Greenville, SC. The Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant will assist their team with moving to a new location, assist with preparation for a year-end audit and help the team transition to a new ERP system. This temporary position is lasting at four weeks with potential for the project to go longer based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Review, process, track and record all payment requests (i.e., incoming invoices, check requests, expense reports, etc.) in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
• Verify invoice calculations, amounts, and vendor information.
• Resolve any discrepancies between the contract, purchase order, invoice, or supporting documentation.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Maintain supporting documentation.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in accounting or business OR equivalent additional directly related experience
• One year of experience in accounting or accounts payable
• Adaptability in the workplace and the ability to pivot

Benefits & Compensation:

• Hourly pay of $19.85 based on experience
• Schedule: Monday Friday from 8 am 5 pm
• Temporary project lasting at least 4 weeks
