Affordable Housing Account Manager

Overview Location: Hybrid/Boca Raton, FL or Remote Type: Full Time Walker Blue LLC is seeking a relationship-focused professional to support the growth of our Affordable Housing and Public Housing Authority services throughout the United States. This position combines client relationship management, business development, project coordination, and industry networking. The ideal candidate enjoys building long-term relationships, helping clients solve problems, and serving as a trusted resource for housing authorities, affordable housing owners, developers, and property management organizations. This is not a high-pressure sales role. Success comes from building trust, understanding client needs, and helping organizations navigate complex requirements related to utility allowance studies, energy audits, and affordable housing compliance programs. Position Responsibilities Relationship Management & Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with Public Housing Authorities, affordable housing owners, developers, consultants, and property management companies Identify opportunities for Utility Allowance Studies, HUD Energy Audits, and related affordable housing services Conduct outreach to prospective clients through phone calls, email, networking, and industry events Attend industry conferences, trade shows, association meetings, and client events Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the sales and project lifecycle Support proposal development and client presentations Project Coordination & Client Support Coordinate client onboarding and information gathering Assist clients with utility data collection and project documentation requirements Maintain accurate records and opportunity tracking within CRM systems Communicate client needs and project updates to technical staff Help ensure projects move efficiently from initial opportunity through project completion Provide responsive follow-up and ongoing client support What We\'re Looking For Strong relationship-building and communication skills Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills Experience managing multiple client relationships simultaneously Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business software Ability to travel periodically for client meetings and industry events Preferred Experience Affordable housing, LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Public Housing, RAD, PBV, or PBRA programs Property management or affordable housing compliance Public Housing Authority experience Government, municipal, or public-sector sales Energy efficiency, utility programs, energy audits, or sustainability programs Consulting or professional services business development Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: Competitive based on experience Performance Incentive Opportunities Paid Time Off (PTO): Unlimited While we offer unlimited PTO, employees are expected to ensure responsibilities are managed appropriately and work is covered during their absence.
