Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Los Angeles, California

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a dynamic corporate tax team focused on business income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting. This role offers the opportunity to manage multiple client engagements, develop innovative tax strategies, and contribute to business growth while receiving strong support from an experienced team. Success in this position is a primary pathway to senior leadership roles, including Partner or Managing Director. Responsibilities Lead and supervise multiple client service teams on tax engagements across diverse industries. Plan, execute, and review corporate tax projects, including compliance, planning, and ASC 740 income tax provisions. Provide innovative tax planning and consulting advice to clients while managing engagement budgets. Support business development by identifying opportunities and participating in client-facing activities and industry events. Mentor and develop staff, providing performance feedback and guidance. Review complex tax returns and ASC 740 provisions to ensure accuracy and identify tax-saving opportunities. Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary contact for service delivery. Research and advise on various corporate tax matters. Adhere to professional standards and confidentiality requirements. Requirements CPA license or active JD/attorney license required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred. Minimum 5–7 years of progressive corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 experience. Strong knowledge of corporate income tax laws, US GAAP, and ASC 740 accounting standards. Experience with broad-based statutory income tax compliance, state/local taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing. Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills. Ability to travel as needed. Public accounting or professional services experience, preferably with top 20 accounting firms. Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision software. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities. Hybrid work environment: at least 2–3 days in office/client location per week.
