The State Corporation Commission seeks a Business Systems Analyst to contribute to the development of a new, comprehensive work management software system (SERFIS) for the Division of Securities and Retail Franchising. This role involves eliciting functional requirements, working with stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth transition from the existing system. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, with a proven track record of successful project contributions. Location 1300 E Main St. Richmond, VA 23219 Responsibilities Eliciting functional and technical requirements through interviews and meetings with business system users. Managing and tracking requirements within a designated system (e.g., Team Foundation Server). Creating wireframes for the new software system. Collaborating with QA to review test cases. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and SharePoint applications proficiently. Presenting ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Skills & Certifications 5+ years of proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities. 5+ years of excellent verbal and written communication skills. 5+ years of experience working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 5+ years of experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and SharePoint applications. 5+ years of experience in eliciting functional and technical requirements. 5+ years of experience managing and tracking requirements in a designated system (e.g., Team Foundation Server). 5+ years of experience creating wireframes. 5+ years of experience working with QA to review test cases. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Special Considerations Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Parking is not provided for contractors.
