Key Responsibilities & Involvement: Take ownership of the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting and reporting for one of the company's core business units, including month-end close, consolidations, financial reporting, technical accounting, and specialized reporting to executive leadership. Lead and develop a small, experienced team of Staff Accountants while partnering closely with executives, legal counsel, Investor Relations, external auditors, and business unit leaders on accounting matters, strategic initiatives, and special projects. Play a key role in the accounting surrounding the company's investments and development projects while ensuring financial reporting is accurate, thoughtful, and completed with a high level of attention to detail. Partner with leadership during the annual budgeting and forecasting process while analyzing results against forecast, preparing meaningful commentary, and helping communicate financial performance to executive leadership and external investors.
