FACILITIES COORDINATORAmerica’s Kids In Motion | Clovis, CaliforniaApproximately 20 Hours per Month | Flexible ScheduleCompensation: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experienceOccasional additional hours may be available for projectsA Small, Flexible Role With Important ResponsibilityAmerica’s Kids In Motion is looking for a dependable, resourceful Facilities Coordinator to help keep our facilities clean, safe, functional, and well cared for.This is a unique, very part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per month with a flexible schedule.It could be an excellent fit for a retired or semi-retired facilities professional, property manager, maintenance professional, experienced handyman, or someone looking for meaningful and consistent supplemental work without committing to a traditional part-time schedule.WHAT YOU’LL DOThe Facilities Coordinator will take ownership of facility maintenance and repair needs across AKIM locations.When something breaks or needs attention, you'll help make sure it gets handled—from identifying what needs to happen, to coordinating the right person, to following through until the issue is resolved.You'll also oversee our cleaning services and help ensure our facilities consistently meet AKIM's expectations for cleanliness and presentation.Your responsibilities will include:Coordinate maintenance and repair needs across AKIM facilities.Maintain and follow up on a list of open facility items.Handle minor repairs when appropriate and within your abilities.Determine when a professional contractor or vendor is needed.Contact and coordinate plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, handymen, locksmiths, and other service providers.Schedule repairs and provide facility access when needed.Obtain estimates when appropriate.Follow repairs through to completion.Oversee AKIM's cleaning services.Conduct periodic facility walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness and general facility condition.Communicate expectations and concerns to cleaning providers and follow up when something needs improvement.Coordinate occasional deep cleaning or special cleaning needs.Help maintain a basic preventive-maintenance schedule.Identify small problems before they become bigger problems.Watch for facility conditions that may create safety concerns.Coordinate small facility improvement projects.Keep the Director of Operations informed of significant repairs, costs, recurring problems, and facility needs.YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIX EVERYTHING YOURSELFWe are not looking for someone who is an electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, contractor, cleaner, and handyman all rolled into one.Being handy is definitely a plus, and we'd love someone who can take care of straightforward minor repairs.But the most important part of this position is ownership and follow-through.If something needs professional attention, your job is to help identify the right solution, coordinate the appropriate vendor, and make sure the work actually gets completed.THE SCHEDULEThis position averages approximately 20 hours per month, but the hours will naturally vary.One week may require very little time. Another may include a repair, vendor appointment, cleaning issue, or small project that requires more attention.There is significant flexibility to organize much of the work around your own schedule.Occasionally, additional hours may be available for larger facility projects or unexpected needs.THIS COULD BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...Are retired or semi-retired and would enjoy a small, flexible role.Have experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, property management, or a related field.Are an experienced handyman looking for consistent supplemental work.Like fixing things—but also know when it's time to call a professional.Are organized and good at keeping track of multiple small projects.Notice things that need attention before someone has to point them out.Are dependable and follow through on what you say you'll do.Are comfortable communicating with contractors and vendors.Can respectfully hold cleaning providers accountable for quality.Are practical and cost-conscious.Work well independently.Take pride in keeping buildings clean, safe, functional, and looking good.Are comfortable using basic technology for texts, email, photos, scheduling, and tracking tasks.ABOUT AMERICA'S KIDS IN MOTIONAmerica’s Kids In Motion is an established Clovis-based organization serving children and families through Aquatics, Gymnastics, Dance, NinjaZone, Music, Preschool, CampKids, GymUTots, and other youth programs.Our facilities are busy places filled with children, families, and employees every day.
