We are looking for a Loan Portfolio Specialist to support commercial banking activities in Fort Worth, Texas. This contract to permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong loan administration knowledge with excellent customer service and communication skills. In this role, you will help manage loan files, assist with underwriting and renewals, and serve as a reliable resource for bankers, clients, and internal partners. The position also requires the ability to handle a fast-paced workload while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of service.

Responsibilities:

• Support bankers by maintaining loan records, updating documentation, and keeping credit files complete, accurate, and current.

• Review new and renewed lending requests, assist with preliminary underwriting, and prepare clear credit memoranda for transaction evaluation.

• Partner with internal teams such as credit, appraisal, and loan administration to move requests efficiently from review through closing.

• Coordinate document collection and execution by following up with clients, insurance representatives, title partners, and attorneys to resolve missing items.

• Track documentation exceptions, past-due activity, paid-off loans, criticized assets, and upcoming maturities to identify issues early and keep bankers informed.

• Help organize renewal workflows and ensure loan packages meet internal policy and regulatory expectations before processing is finalized.

• Provide guidance on more complex servicing questions and offer day-to-day support to less experienced team members when needed.

• Assist with construction loan disbursement coordination in alignment with bank procedures and approval requirements.

• Deliver responsive, attentive service to both internal stakeholders and external customers to strengthen ongoing banking relationships.

• Experience in loan administration, commercial lending support, or a related financial banking function.

• Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, underwriting practices, and credit analysis principles.

• Ability to review financial information, including bank statements and borrower financial statements, with strong attention to detail.

• Familiarity with loan payoffs, renewals, exception tracking, and portfolio servicing activities.

• Strong understanding of compliance expectations, credit policy, and documentation accuracy within a banking environment.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and follow-up skills when working with clients and internal departments.

• Ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize effectively, and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.
