As a Registered Nurse specializing in PeriOp/PACU, you will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise and adhering to professional ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and ensure safety.
• Document all patient care activities accurately to support compliance with quality measures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare team members, patients, and families to improve care and patient experience.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Adapt positively to healthcare dynamics and pursue continuous professional development.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; graduation from an accredited nursing program required.

Experience

At least one year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

• Current RN license in a Compact State or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Requires considerable mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and perform activities such as standing, walking, turning, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases may occur.
