divh2Food Preparation Cook/h2pThe Food Preparation Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of ingredients, basic cooking, and supporting overall kitchen operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to quality standards under the guidance of kitchen leadership./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliPrepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, and meats./liliAssist in basic cooking and assembly of menu items following standardized recipes and instructions./liliSet up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes./liliLabel, date, and properly store food items in accordance with food safety standards./liliMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment./liliMonitor food stock and inform supervisors of shortages or spoilage./liliFollow all kitchen safety, hygiene, and health procedures./liliAssist with receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries./liliSupport cooks and chefs during service periods as needed./liliDispose of waste and adhere to recycling protocols./li/ulpRequirements/pulliHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred./liliPrior kitchen or food service experience is an asset./liliBasic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards./liliAbility to follow instructions and work well as part of a team./liliAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs./liliFlexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed./li/ulpstrongPreferred Skills:/strong/pulliFamiliarity with kitchen tools and food preparation techniques./liliStrong time-management and organizational skills./liliAbility to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment./li/ul/div
