Our mission is to build robust solutions that achieve measurable value, which empower our clients, in a fun and engaging environment.In RWT, we work hard every day to improve the experience for our clients, using cutting-edge technology and creative solutions to hard problems.What you’ll do:As a Sr IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading enterprise‑wide, cross‑functional strategic initiatives within the Retail and Retirement web technology area. Leading a variety of project types, including the delivery of technology solutions, large‑scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments that will support the retail and retirement technology teams to deliver exceptional web experience to customers. As Schwab transitions to a scaled agile model, this role requires a blend of traditional project management expertise and scaled agile methodology experience, partnering closely with business, technology, and risk stakeholders to deliver outcomes that enhance customer experience and help technology teams to build compelling interactive web applications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate new initiatives to support the technical and business strategy of the organizationPlan the delivery of the multi-team initiatives and activitiesDrive large, complex projects to completion and execute roadmaps, while championing business and technical goalsManage interdependencies across a high number of scrum teams and organizationsLiaise with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure needs and expectations are metWork across specialized business and technical partners to broker decisions and negotiate trade-offsTranslate complex information into clear, actionable insights for business partnersCommunicate effectively at an executive and team levelMediate and resolve conflicts, maintain a strategic focus when making decisionsDemonstrate sound judgment regarding decisions and escalations with complete informationProvide supervision and direction to project teams to ensure successful executionEnsure quality and evidence of project documentationUnderstanding of Agile processes, team velocity and the ability to forecast progress accordinglyCollaborate across Design, Development, QA, Operations, and Governance teams to help remove roadblocksCoordinate with external vendors and internal technical and legal teams to manage relationships and contractual agreementsWhat you haveTo ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.Required Qualifications:BA/BS Degree or equivalent experienceCurrent working experience with Schwab systems and processes8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments5+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc.Experience using AI tools to optimize your project management capability.Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with graceProven experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/ScrumProven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholdersDemonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projectsPreferred Qualifications:Financial industry experienceExperience in a scaled agile environmentPMP or PMI-ACP certificationIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunitiesJob SummaryRequisition ID: 2026-126283Posted Date: 16 hours ago(8/31/2026 1:37 PM)Category: Product & Project ManagementSalary Range: USD $91,800.00 - $204,100.00 / YearApplication deadline: 9/3/2026Position Type: Full time
