Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit

Schedule: Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
• Current and valid RN license in New York
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EMR Experience: EPIC
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
• Drivers license with matching address
• NURSYS Report for license verification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the intermediate care unit, focusing on neuro, cardiac, and trauma diagnostics.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring complex care, including those on chronic ventilation support.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize specialty equipment as required, including but not limited to temporary pacers, chest tubes, and BiPAP.
• Document patient progress and changes in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in unit meetings and continued education for professional growth.

• Floating to other units may be required.
