Sr Account Manager - Test and Measurement Group (Gulf Region) Location: Gulf Region, TX, Remote About the company Network Wireless Solutions (NWS) is a leading distributor and manufacturer of fiber optic, wireless infrastructure, custom cable solutions, test and measurement equipment, and datacom networking solutions. Job Description The Sr Account Manager reports to the T&M Director of Sales and supports the Test and Measurement Group across the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi territories. The role drives new business in OEM, government, educational, and general‑purpose accounts, applying best practices in sales and customer service to manage and grow relationships. Job Responsibilities Achieve and exceed established monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quotas Promote partner products such as Keysight Technologies, Bird, Junkosha, Elektro‑Automatik (Tektronix), AFL, NetAlly, etc. Develop sources of sales leads and actively prospect for new opportunities Conduct prospecting activities, including telemarketing, cold calling, and lead referrals, in sufficient volume to meet sales targets Maintain accurate records in the company CRM, providing forecasts and activity reports as required Attend regular sales meetings, training, and performance review sessions Establish effective business relationships with key decision makers Develop an understanding of customers’ business needs and future requirements Collaborate with Engineering to prepare professional written or verbal proposals targeting key decision makers and clearly communicating the company’s solution and value proposition Negotiate contracts, initiate orders, and pursue post‑sales activities to ensure services meet customer needs; provide additional training to new customers as required Complete necessary documents for efficient processing of customer orders Provide feedback on marketing materials, products, and services Maintain thorough knowledge of NWS’s offerings, competitors, and industry trends Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Education and Expertise Successful experience in a sales role within the Test & Measurement sector, preferably servicing government, educational, and OEM markets Familiarity with selling products or services that have a 3‑to‑6‑month sales cycle Specific experience building a strong client network in a defined territory University or college degree/diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Data Networking, or a related field (desired) Relationship‑management skills and openness to feedback Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Energetic, self‑motivated “hunter” with a passion for new business sales Strong knowledge of RF, fiber, and DC technologies Understanding of testing methods for analog and digital signal processing Sense of urgency and desire to excel Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota consistently Effective phone interaction and cold‑calling skills Understanding of solution selling and value creation for business customers Solid sales skills and an understanding of how to manage a sales funnel Ability to prospect and cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers Ability to communicate and present confidently to all organizational levels Willingness to travel when required Location: Preferred Texas/Hybrid, but will consider candidates from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi - Remote Job Type: Full Time - Permanent Pay: Salary + Commission *** Our company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employs personnel without regard to race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, language, citizenship, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, physical and/or mental handicap or financial ability.
