Description - Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical lab tests-ranging from chemistry and hematology to immunology-following established protocols with care.
• Examine test outcomes for correctness, resolve discrepancies, and perform maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, support the training of newcomers and students, and uphold the high standards of laboratory quality.
• Foster a clean and safe working environment while complying with regulatory requirements.

Education Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a comparable allied health qualification, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• Obtain ASCP or AMT Board certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within your first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
