HOSPICE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hospice Executive DirectorA hospice provider serving the Akron, Ohio area is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead its hospice operation. This role carries full responsibility for clinical services, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial performance, quality, and market development for the agency. The organization is looking for a leader who can build a stable, accountable culture centered on high quality patient care.Schedule: Full time. Specific hours and on call expectations to be confirmed with the employer.Compensation: $115,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience.What You'll DoThe Executive Director will oversee day to day operations of the hospice agency, providing leadership across clinical services, staffing, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and quality assurance. This person will supervise clinical, professional, and administrative personnel, ensuring the interdisciplinary team delivers high quality hospice care that meets Medicare hospice certification and regulatory requirements. The role also includes building relationships within the local healthcare community, supporting referral development and census growth, and representing the agency in the market. The Executive Director will work to establish clear expectations, develop the management team, and create an accountable, outcomes driven culture.Required QualificationsActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in OhioApproximately two to five years of healthcare management or comparable leadership experienceWorking knowledge of healthcare operations, financial management, staffing, quality, and complianceThorough understanding of Medicare hospice certification and regulatory requirementsDemonstrated experience supervising clinical, professional, and administrative staffStrong communication, leadership, judgment, organizational, and conflict resolution skillsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience as a Hospice Executive Director, Administrator, Branch Director, General Manager, Director of Operations, or senior clinical operations leaderCertified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certificationExperience developing referral relationships and driving census growth in a hospice or home health settingCompensation and Benefits: $115,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience.
