Environmental Compliance Coordinator

Location: Peachtree City, GA
Pay: $22.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Temporary contract
Contract Duration: Currently approved through September 30, 2026
Work Location: Onsite

Environmental Compliance Coordinator Opportunity:

This position will support site environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, permitting, inspections, audits, corrective actions, data management, and sustainability initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Environmental Science or a related field and experience supporting environmental compliance in manufacturing, industrial operations, environmental consulting, utilities, construction materials, chemical processing, or another regulated environment.

This role is primarily focused on environmental compliance rather than occupational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Coordinate environmental permits, renewals, reporting deadlines, and required documentation
• Maintain the site environmental compliance calendar
• Assist with regulatory reporting related to air emissions, hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, chemical usage, and environmental performance
• Collect, review, validate, and organize environmental data
• Prepare internal environmental reports, performance metrics, and compliance summaries
• Track environmental permits, inspections, sampling activities, and regulatory commitments
• Support environmental audits and regulatory inspections
• Coordinate corrective actions and follow-up activities resulting from audits, inspections, or compliance reviews
• Maintain accurate environmental records and supporting documentation
• Communicate with site leadership, operations teams, regulatory agencies, and environmental professionals
• Assist with hazardous waste management and environmental recordkeeping
• Support stormwater-management and water-discharge compliance activities
• Coordinate environmental training and compliance communications
• Track environmental incidents, findings, and corrective-action progress
• Support site sustainability programs, data collection, and reporting
• Help identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and reduce compliance risk
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Chemistry, Occupational and Environmental Health, or a related discipline
• Previous environmental compliance, environmental coordination, permitting, regulatory reporting, or environmental program experience
• Understanding of federal, state, or local environmental regulations
• Experience maintaining environmental records, reports, permits, or compliance documentation
• Strong data-management, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and regulatory requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business applications
• Ability to work onsite in Peachtree City, Georgia, Monday through Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

• Environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience with air-emissions compliance
• Experience with hazardous waste or hazardous-material reporting
• Experience with stormwater, wastewater, or water-discharge programs
• Experience coordinating environmental permits
• Familiarity with EPA and state environmental regulations
• Experience preparing environmental reports or regulatory submissions
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, corrective actions, or compliance investigations
• Environmental health, EHS, or sustainability experience
• Experience communicating with regulatory agencies or third-party environmental consultants

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
