Area General Manager

Trane Technologies is seeking a General Manager for its South Florida Commercial Sales Office. The role requires ownership of the P&L, sales leadership, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage the P&L for the South Florida Commercial Sales Office.
• Provide leadership for operations through a matrix‑managed organizational structure.
• Develop and deliver annual and long‑term financial results, achieving objectives for profit, volume, margins, business mix, and market share across all business streams.
• Lead customer and district sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, account penetration, retention, and hiring & onboarding of new sales associates.
• Assess skills, administer training, set quotas, forecast sales, and ensure consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
• Assemble account teams and collaborate with Account Managers with diverse business development needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational integrity.
• Support human‑capital strategies, including employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum ten (10) years of HVAC industry or related experience.
• Knowledge of Energy Management Systems, HVAC or Temperature Controls, and/or Process Control Management.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive sales‑management experience.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Compensation

Base Salary: $185,100.00 – $366,975.00 (annual). Incentive eligible: Yes. Commission: No.
