Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work setting, enabling you to deliver services remotely while maintaining a connection to an outpatient office environment. Team members can engage in telehealth as well as in-person sessions, allowing for optimal client interaction and support. You will collaborate with other mental health professionals within an interdisciplinary team framework, providing consultations that promote integrated care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and age-appropriate assessments followed by tailored interventions for individuals and families facing mental health issues.

• Facilitate individual and couple therapy sessions, while also offering group therapy and leading parent support sessions focused on adoption and placement issues, particularly for families impacted by prenatal substance exposure.

• Administer developmental evaluations for children to identify specific needs and craft effective therapeutic strategies.

• Deliver training sessions designed for a diverse audience, including social workers, educators, and legal professionals, ensuring all parties are equipped with the knowledge to support the family and child welfare sectors.

• Actively participate in case consultations and collaborate with team members to develop and implement treatment plans that align with client goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with diverse family units, couples, and both adult and adolescent clients. Our focus is on providing mental health services that encompass the entire family system, ensuring we address the unique complexities that arise in familial situations. The therapy provided will aim to cultivate emotional resilience, improve relationships, and foster overall mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a valid and active LMFT license issued by the state of California.

• Required educational background includes a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a relevant mental health field.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing therapy, demonstrating a strong foundation in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While the above qualifications are mandatory, experience working with families facing adoption issues or those whose children have been prenatally exposed to substances is highly desirable. Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities and intervention techniques will further enhance your ability to connect with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges between USD 120,000 – 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
