Continuing Education Specialist 3

Job Description Position: Continuing Education Specialist 3 (full‑time, based at Harborview Medical Center). This role supports the SPIRIT Lab by providing training, consultation, and fidelity reviews for Psychiatric Rehabilitation within Washington State’s Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) teams and other statewide agencies. The Specialist works closely with the PACT Training and Implementation Team and may provide training externally as requested. Hybrid‑eligible with remote option upon approval. Responsibilities Further develop and refine Psychiatric Rehabilitation training curriculum, slides, and supporting resources (30%). Lead PACT fidelity reviews, including consensus rating, report writing, and feedback to teams (20%). Facilitate or co‑facilitate professional consultation to PACT teams through the PACT Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) Clinic and other modalities (20%). Provide didactic mini‑training within PACT ECHO Clinics and webinars on psychiatric rehabilitation strategies (10%). Anticipate training needs and coordinate with other trainers on statewide support (5%). Triage training inquiries and collaborate with Project Leads on feasibility and implementation strategy (5%). Assist administrative staff with statements of work and contract development for external trainers (5%). Work with colleagues to engage diverse stakeholders in evidence‑based practice implementation (5%). Minimum Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field. At least two years working within a PACT, ACT, or comparable community behavioral healthcare program for people with serious mental illness (SMI). Additional Requirement Ability to travel quarterly within Washington State, including day and overnight trips. Desired Qualifications Expertise in psychiatric rehabilitation or skills training for people with serious mental illness, including occupational therapy experience. Experience training or consulting other behavioral healthcare clinicians. Experience in recovery‑oriented care and shared decision making. Bilingual applicants or those with strong training in culturally‑informed and trauma‑informed care.
