Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards of care. Supervises and collaborates with nursing staff and healthcare team members to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions by collecting relevant clinical data and documentation.
• Develop individualized care plans that specify interventions aimed at achieving desired health outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions and coordinate care delivery to promote patient safety and recovery.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed to meet evolving health needs.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have experience in a Medical-Surgical setting preferred.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
