LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Peer Specialist

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking a Peer Specialist to provide emotional support and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ individuals facing mental health challenges. This role involves offering one-on-one and group-based support, facilitating discussions on identity and healthcare navigation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care. Ideal candidates should have certification as a Peer Specialist and lived experience in mental health or substance use recovery, alongside strong communication skills.
