Gen Med Patient Care Tech - FT

Job Summary Provides direct patient care to support licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients, ensuring a safe environment by reducing risk of harm. Collects vital information and reports changes to the nursing team to aid in overall patient assessment. Job Details Must attend a 2‑week orientation Monday‑Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 36 hours per week Daily work hours 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m. Holiday rotation Every third weekend required Responsibilities Implements direct patient care under nursing supervision, promoting patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment; administers or assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), performs vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point-of-care testing as requested. Collects clinical data and patient information, reporting status changes to the nurse. Assists nurse with patient and family education; documents all care activities with correct medical terminology; acts as a one‑to‑one patient safety sitter as necessary. Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient’s needs. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
