Staging Clerk

This role focuses on accurately receiving, picking, repackaging, and shipping products in a fast-paced, climate-controlled warehouse environment. The shipping clerk ensures orders are processed efficiently, inventory is handled correctly, and customers receive their products in the correct quantities and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming products and verify quantities and conditions against documentation.
• Pull product by hand or with a pallet jack according to pick lists and customer orders.
• Break down bulk orders into smaller quantities based on customer requirements.
• Repackage products safely and securely to meet shipping and quality standards.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, staging, and organizing for carrier pickup.
• Ship products to customers in accurate quantities and correct packaging configurations.
• Assist with general labor tasks in the warehouse and production areas as needed.
• Support inventory activities by handling products carefully and helping maintain organized storage.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet daily shipping and production goals.

Essential Skills

• 12 years or more of packaging, receiving, and/or shipping experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience with packing and repackaging products.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or production setting.
• Ability to pick orders accurately by hand.
• Ability to use a pallet jack to move product safely.
• General labor experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Basic inventory handling skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience breaking down bulk orders into smaller quantities for customer shipments.
• Familiarity with repackaging products for different order sizes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established procedures.
• Reliability and flexibility to work occasional additional hours when needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled production and warehouse facility, working alongside a team of approximately 4050 people. The standard schedule runs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working an extra hour or two when needed. Weekend work is rare and may occasionally include Saturdays, with Sundays almost never required. The shift includes two paid 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The position requires closed-toe shoes and adherence to safety and facility guidelines while performing duties such as picking, packing, repackaging, and moving products with a pallet jack.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
