Our award-winning team provides complete landscape design, construction, maintenance, paving, and snow removal services from our Bergenfield headquarters and Wyckoff Design Center, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a full time basis at our Bergenfield, New Jersey office. In this role, you will oversee the company’s financial recordkeeping and reporting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, vendor accounts, and sales tax and year end tax support. This role is ideal for an organized professional who is comfortable managing day to day accounting activities and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ledger accounts, prepare invoices, and accurately record and reconcile all company financial transactions in a timely manner.
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances and follow up with customers on collections.
- Track vendor bills, prepare payments, and resolve vendor and customer billing inquiries.
- Record daily cash and credit card receipts and maintain organized files of receipts, invoices, and financial documents.
- Prepare weekly accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections, credit card receipt, and cash flow reports.
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, financial statements, job cost reports, and AR/AP aging reports.
- Assist management with Dynamics AX reporting, financial reviews, and account reviews.
- Support the company’s CPA with 1099 preparation, year end reconciliations, and tax preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- At least three years of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: $30.00 to $36.01 per hour (approximately $62,400 to $74,900 annually) based on experience
