Overview
CVICU Registered Nurse position in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Start date July 6, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,250 to $2,380 per week. Shifts are rotating 12-hour blocks, with every third weekend worked. The role focuses on postoperative cardiovascular care, including management of advanced cardiac support and critical care for adults and older patients.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric CVICU patients, including postoperative care after open heart surgery
- Monitor hemodynamics, interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and manage vasoactive infusions
- Respond to clinical emergencies and adjust care plans based on patient status and orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, plan and document treatment, and support discharge planning
- Manage device therapies as applicable, including Impella and balloon pumps (preferred)
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and educate patients and families about conditions and care plans

Requirements
- Active Minnesota RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS required)
- 1+ year of CVICU/critical care experience
- Experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation proficiency
- Epic experience required
- Ability to work with adult and geriatric populations
