Lecturer Pool (part time) - Department of Bioengineering - College of Engineering

Position Overview Position title: Lecturer. Percent time: 11%-33% (normally 33% for a single 3‑hour per week lecture course). Anticipated start: Fall semester (8/1/26‑12/31/26) or Spring semester (1/1/27‑5/31/27); academic‑year appointments 7/1/26‑6/30/27. Salary range: $75,301 to $199,722 full‑time. Starting salary will be commensurate with highest degree, past college‑level teaching experience, relevant industry experience, and equity within the department. Position Description Lecturer will deliver a 3‑hour per week lecture course at the Department of Bioengineering, University of California, Berkeley. Additional duties include: Managing and supporting Graduate Student Instructors Holding office hours and running laboratories and demonstrations Assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (syllabus, course website) AUT Lecturers are academic appointees in an organized bargaining unit, represented by the American Federation of Teachers – Unit 18.
