Duvera's client a growing boutique defense firm located in downtown Houston is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager or Director to build, lead, and optimize its HR function. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for developing HR policies, driving talent acquisition, overseeing performance management, managing compensation and benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with experience creating scalable people processes, partnering with senior leadership, and supporting a high-performing, growth-oriented organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for an HR leader who wants to move beyond traditional HR administration and serve as a strategic business partner. You'll work directly with senior leadership, influence key organizational decisions, and help shape the future of a growing professional services firm. There is no HR professional above this position , providing a clear path for future growth as the department expands. Key Responsibilities: Human Resources Strategy & Operations Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Performance Management Compliance & Employee Relations Qualifications: 8+ years of Human Resources experience within a professional services environment. Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs. Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, compensation, and talent management. Legal industry experience is a plus. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. Why Consider This Opportunity?
